Daemon/Rhaenyra - Fic

I am so obsessed with these two, and the way the show portrayed them as such a twin flames completely unable to be normal about each other dynamic, and I basically love everything about them in all their morally questionable, dysfunctional yet genuinely loving glory. I love the way they taunt and tease and challenge each other. I love the way they're obsessive and possessive about each other in a way that's not entirely healthy, and the way they won't hesitate to do terrible things for each other. I love how beneath their pride and stubbornness and prickliness they both deeply crave affection and appreciation and recognition, and the way they find it in each other. I love their deep devotion and the way they're able to turn to each other for comfort and strength. I love how they're such kindred spirits, dragon blood running hot in them both, and how they understand each other as nobody else does. I love how he's her sword and she's his crown. I love how they've always been each other's favorite people, and the fuzzy transition between him doting on her and her adoring him as a child and them wanting each other once she grows up.

For seasonal themes, something with a supernatural twist or (dark?) fairytale elements would be fun. I love the idea of Targaryens literally having dragon blood in them, and leaning into the concepts of bloodline magic and not quite being normal humans. Also very here for vampire AUs (and blood kink whether or not they’re vampires).

Janet and Tam Lin’s relationship, or Tam Lin’s relationship with the Queen before Janet comes along, or Janet and Tam Lin somehow get mixed up in fae trouble again later on.

I’m particularly fascinated by Janet’s character: her independence and determination, the way she seems to take the warning “don’t go to Carterhaugh on pain of losing your maidenhead” as a dare and how confidently she tells her father and his entire court to fuck off. One page I’ve read included in notes on the ballad’s origin that she may have been intended to have magical powers. Why is she so disdainful of her father’s knights, and why does her father seem a bit intimidated by her? I’d love to see more of her first meeting with Tam Lin (and am open to either consensual or non-consensual interpretations of that encounter, given that ballad versions differ widely), or of what if any development there was in their relationship between then and the day he tells her how to rescue him, or dealing with the aftermath of his rescue. Alternatively, Tam Lin’s life with the faeries and what the fae court is like. If you’re so inclined, feel free to lean all the way in to the possibilities of weird fae shit and weird sex shit that this ballad provides.

Jareth/Sarah - Fic
I am very interested in fic where the Labyrinth and its king retain a hold on Sarah’s life after her adventure, and she returns on her own terms when she’s older. I’m here for all manner of belligerent sexual tension, twisted romance, manipulation and power struggles, and/or unexpected tenderness. Bonus points for masked balls, dark fairytale elements, and weird fae stuff.

I’d also be very into fic that’s as much about worldbuilding as it is about romance, and the Labyrinth being a character in its own right. I’d love to see parts of the Labyrinth that Sarah never explored, or the fae society that Jareth and the courtiers at the masked ball seem to belong to, or Sarah interacting with magic and magical creatures in her life in the mundane world post-canon. I’m particularly fond of the notion that in beating the Labyrinth, Sarah acquired some sort of authority over and responsibility to it, and all the possibilities that could come from that tie.
